Various public transport means were utilised by 2,288,631 passengers on New Year's Eve

On December 31, 2023, New Year's Eve, 2,288,631 people utilised different public transportation options, according to a data from Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority.

• 974,416 passengers used the Red and Green lines of the Dubai Metro.
• 56,208 people rode the tram.
• 401,510 people utilised public buses.
• 97,261 people were transported using maritime methods.
• 167,051 riders were served by e-hail cars.
• 1,316 people made use of shared transport vehicles.
• A total of 590,869 people travelled in taxis.

RTA stated that, because of an integrated strategy that was carefully synchronised with relevant institutions in Dubai, passengers' transportation to and from the New Year's Eve celebration sites was safe and uneventful.
