The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said on Friday that a combined mock exercise will be conducted in Dubai Metro to guarantee preparedness and quick reaction in case of emergencies.
The exercise will be carried out in cooperation with the Emergency Services Integration Group (ESIG) and is a component of the 2025 drill plan.
Key players in the emergency and transportation sectors will participate in the trial, which is scheduled for Sunday, April 27 from 1 to 5 a.m. at the Gold Souq Metro Station, according to RTA.
On the Dubai Metro's Green Line, Gold Souq Metro Station is a significant underground station located in the old Deira neighborhood. To more accurately reflect its close vicinity to Dubai's Gold Souq, it was renamed Gold Souq in May 2020 from Palm Deira.
