Emirates has launched a number of programs to assist travelers with neurodiverse conditions, earning them the title of the first Autism Certified Airline in the world.
Over 30,000 members of the ground crew and cabin crew have received training to enable them to assist passengers with autism spectrum disorders in having a more comfortable journey.
The airline has also started trip rehearsal programs in 17 places worldwide. This program lets children experience the airport adventure in order to get ready for actual trips.
Every month, travel rehearsals take place in Madrid, Manila, Mauritius, Manchester, Montreal, Nice, Oslo, Paris, Toronto, Barcelona, Brisbane, Budapest, Cebu, Christchurch, Dubai, Durban, Luanda, and Christchurch.
There are now new options that will enhance the travel experience for people with autism, their families, and their friends both on the ground and in the air.
