Three autonomous on-demand delivery robots will begin services within the plaza area of The Sustainable City

Residents in The Sustainable City’s Plaza area can order from any restaurant or shop using three autonomous on-demand delivery robots. The pilot project will be initiated this year with Lyve Global and Dubai Future Labs. 

The Sustainable City is an entirely pedestrian-only and car-free neighbourhood.

These delivery robots, created locally by a group of roboticists and engineers from Dubai Future Labs, have many cutting-edge features, such as a fleet management system with real-time tracking, a Lyve Global-designed back-end order fulfillment and delivery operations system, and a secured delivery compartment that is only open to the customer, guaranteeing safe deliveries.

A few other communities in Dubai, such as The Silicon Oasis, have also conducted robot trials. 

These robots are completely capable of navigating their environment securely and effectively. They can also recognise charging outlets, which removes the need for human interaction. They are designed to deliver things in less than 30 minutes.
