Special private corridor has been set up for Haj pilgrims flying out of Dubai for the annual Islamic pilgrimage

According to a top official, a dedicated private route has been established for Haj pilgrims departing from Dubai for the yearly Islamic pilgrimage. The pilgrims would not be caught in Dubai's peak travel jam due to specialised counters for check-in and passport control and specific departure gates during Eid Al Adha break and summer vacation.

Almost two months ago, airlines that fly to Haj made a request for dedicated departure gates.

Saudi Arabia establishes national quotas in order to guarantee that pilgrims from all over the globe have the opportunity to complete the Hajj. 4,600 of the 6,200 Haj pilgrims departing the UAE by plane will do so via Dubai International Airport (DXB).

Foreign nationals must adhere to the regulations and processes of their native nations. The authority said that about 100,000 foreign pilgrims will pass via DXB.

The annual Islamic pilgrimage, known as Haj, will begin on June 14. On June 15–18, UAE citizens will have a public holiday to celebrate Eid Al Adha, the Islamic festival, and Arafat Day, the holiest day in Islam. Many locals will take a quick holiday by flying out of Dubai over the extended weekend.

Pilgrims are urged to carry their vaccination cards, passports, and Haj permits before heading to the airport.
