Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi received 570,113 visitors

570,113 people visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi in the first half of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

164,704 people participated in the prayers, 194,978 were visitors, and 210,431 people attended the iftar gathering. 102,419 people offered the Isha and Taraweeh prayers at the same mosque.

In the meantime, 77,233 worshipers were registered at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Fujairah and 50,456 at the Sheikh Khalifa Grand Mosque in Al Ain.

In order to meet the demands of the large number of worshippers during the last ten days of Ramadan, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre has dispersed its mobile information stations across its premises. These stations may assist with queries and provide directions to different areas.

In order to effectively manage the higher frequency of calls and queries at this time, the center has also doubled the number of employees working on the switchboard.

During this time, the mosque has scheduled the Tahajjud night prayer at 12 a.m. and visiting hours, which end at 11.30 p.m. every day of the week.

The center has installed over 1,500 rugs in the courtyard of the mosque. Seventy electric vehicles have been deployed to help devotees get from parking lots to the prayer halls; the elderly and others with special needs will be given priority. To further enhance the comfort of its visitors, the mosque has 3,515 seats and 50 wheelchairs.

Ambulances are on standby in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, and a civil defense team will be based at the mosque.

extra parking places available to make access easier during the final ten days of Ramadan  The center has set aside 8,379 parking places for devotees, ensuring easy access to the mosque. In particular, 60 spaces are set aside for those with disabilities, and 1,500 spaces are devoted to ladies close to the northern prayer halls.

The center has added 1,800 parking spots this year in cooperation with the authorities on Grand Mosque Street, which is directly across from Gate of Coexistence - Number 7. Additional parking spaces have also been installed at other places, such as Zayed Sports City, the Erth Hotel, and the Oasis of Dignity.

For the last ten days of Ramadan, there is an additional shuttle bus service from these areas to the mosque in order to accommodate the rush of worshippers attending the Tahajjud night prayers.

960,431 iftar meals were distributed as part of the "Our Fasting Guests" effort. The "Our Fasting Guests" program, launched by the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre in collaboration with Erth Hotel, honors the memory of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan by providing iftar meals every day at the mosque and workers' cities throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.

In addition, 580 volunteers have been recruited by the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center to assist staff members, the Emirates Red Crescent, law enforcement, paramedics, and civil defense.
