Sharjah Public Library has been allocated Dh 2.5 million on the directives of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi

The Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, has directed that Dh 2.5 million be given to the Sharjah Public Library. During the current 15th annual Sharjah Children's Reading Festival (SCRF 2024), the grant will be used to purchase the newest books from participating publishers and bookstores. 

The goal of the annual grant to the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) event is to advance the vision of the Sharjah Ruler, which is to “affirm the role of libraries in achieving comprehensive and sustainable development of societies and support the regional and global book industries, improve Sharjah’s offerings to readers, students, researchers and academics and general knowledge seekers in the UAE and beyond”.
