SCCI welcomed the public to the City of Kalba’s public market for the ‘Kalba Winter’ initiative

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) invited the public to the City of Kalba's public market as part of the current Sharjah Shopping Promotions. The event included a number of promotional shopping activities and folklore performances. The project was called "Kalba Winter."

During the two days of the event, there was a joyful vibe in the air as market attendees were given presents and prizes. Kalba Winter is a component of SCCI's initiatives to boost business ventures, provide funding for start-up ventures, and advertise travel and historical sites in Sharjah's Eastern Region.

Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of the SCCI; Abdul Aziz Mohammed Shattaf, Assistant Director-General of the Communication and Business Sector at the Sharjah Chamber; Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of Economic Relations and Marketing at the SCCI; and Jamal Saeed Buzangal, Director of the Media Department at the Chamber attended the event.

The Kalba Winter programming featured performances by folk troupes from the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and India, as well as public events and competitions. Individuals, families, and the general public who participated in the open competitions and saw the artistic and heritage acts were given gifts and awards. Families and other various groups of tourists were drawn in by these events, and they flocked to the businesses taking part in the Sharjah Shopping Promotions to take advantage of the discounts provided on a wide variety of items, fashion, and brands.

The Al Habban Folk Group gave performances at Sharjah Shopping Promotions' festivities in Kalba. By showcasing the Habban dance to bagpipe sounds, the group provided an insight into Emirati culture. Indian and Egyptian folk troupes were among the other participating groups whose performers portrayed elements of their respective nations' rich heritage. Through a vibrant assortment of creative acts and dances, the three groups delighted customers over the course of the two-day event, bringing joy and encouraging excellent audience participation.
