Red alert issued across most parts of the UAE by the National Centre of Meteorology

The National Centre of Meteorology in the United Arab Emirates issued a red alert on Tuesday, citing worsening weather conditions around the nation.

Given the extraordinary severity of the predicted hazardous weather occurrences, the authorities have encouraged citizens to exercise "extreme vigilance."

The met emphasized the locations most vulnerable to extreme weather, taking to X. While yellow alert zones may see more milder weather, orange alert areas advise inhabitants to be on the lookout.

Heavy downpour pounded the UAE late Monday night into Tuesday, waking residents to constant thunderclaps and lightning.

Due to an extension of a "low surface pressure" and two waves of unstable weather that are expected to travel over the nation on Tuesday, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has announced that unseasonably warm weather will persist throughout the UAE from Monday through Wednesday.

On Wednesday, an announcement was made directing government employees in the United Arab Emirates to work remotely. Since the nation's weather is getting worse, an advisory has been issued.

Amidst the increasingly unpredictable weather in the nation, Dubai has extended the duration for government employees and private school pupils to work remotely. Remote employment has been recommended for private sector companies' employees.

Sharjah-based federal employees have also been instructed to work from home on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, classes will be held virtually in both emirates' public and private schools.
