The Ministry of Human Resources declared on Thursday that all private sector workers will have Monday, January 1, 2024, as a holiday. As a result, UAE employees in the private sector will get a long weekend to celebrate the new year.
In a tweet, the organisation stated, "The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announces that Monday, 1 January 2024, will be New Year’s Day paid holiday for all private sector employees in UAE."
The federal government employees' New Year's vacation was declared earlier today in an Instagram announcement. On Monday, January 1, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources designated it a holiday.
According to a list released by the UAE Cabinet last month, citizens could expect at least 13 public holidays in 2024. With a six-day vacation being the longest, four of the seven formal occasions may be prolonged weekends.
