New passenger station of the Etihad Rail will be located in Fujairahs Sakamkam area

NewsOn Tuesday, a senior official verified that Etihad Rail's new passenger station will be situated in the Sakamkam neighbourhood of Fujairah. This news was made during the first-ever Global Rail conference which began Monday in Abu Dhabi. The head of sustainability and public policy of Etihad Rail, Adhraa Almansoori, disclosed that 11 regions and cities will be connected. The passenger stations' two sites have previously been disclosed. Sakamkam in Fujairah will host the first, and University City in Sharjah will host the second.
She went on to say that the passenger network will use the infrastructure of the goods train network. By 2030, our passenger trains will have a top speed of 200 mph and be able to carry 36 million people.
When finished, the 900 km long Etihad Rail will link Ghuweifat to Fujairah and beyond, connecting all seven emirates and eleven significant towns. The UAE is also the first Gulf country to have declared the rail connectivity to its bordering countries.
Over 150 top officials from the global transport value chain, including ministers, business executives, and stakeholders, will gather for the three-day Global Rail conference to talk about the future of rail transport in the nation.
Visitors may see a mock passenger train cabin from Etihad Rail at the event. Inside, grey leather chairs with the famous Etihad Rail emblem were lined together. A visual simulation located at the front of the compartment allowed guests to virtually travel from Ghuweifat station along the Etihad Rail.
