Motorists can now renew their driving licence and vehicle registration through their mobile phones

On Tuesday, July 2, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai announced that some drivers may now renew their driver's licence and car registration using their cell phones.

Samsung customers with the RTA app can now add their driver's licence and car registration details straight to their Samsung Wallet.

The authority updated its official app in May to provide consumers with a simpler and more user-friendly method of accessing its services.

According to the RTA, it eliminates the need for multiple apps and provides a centralised platform for managing important transportation-related documents.

The RTA app has been updated with a customised dashboard that simplifies navigation by combining many services onto a single page. Users may purchase parking tickets with ease and renew their driver's licence and vehicle with this one-window solution.
