NewsCompanies in the private sector with 50 employees or more are advised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) to fulfill their half-yearly Emiratization targets by 2024.
According to a Cabinet Resolution, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) has established a 1% growth objective for Emiratis in skilled occupations within firms. June 30 is the deadline for meeting the H1 2024 Emiratization targets, and compliance monitoring will begin on July 1. In addition to praising businesses for achieving their goals, MoHRE stressed the significance of Emiratis being registered in approved pension funds and the Wage Protection System. Employers who don't meet the requirements are urged to use the "Nafis" platform, which provides information about skilled Emirati candidates in a range of disciplines.
Using the Ministry's digital and field surveillance system, 1,379 businesses were found to be trying to hire 2,170 UAE citizens illegally between mid-2022 and May 16, 2024, in an attempt to avoid Emiratization targets.
The companies that violated the rules were hit with fines, had their ratings lowered, and had some of their files forwarded to the Public Prosecution. Along with financial penalties that started on the day the infringement started, the companies in question also had to take corrective action.
