Iconic streets and waterways of Old Dubai have been lit up in neon lights, unique characters have come alive

The famous alleys and rivers of Old Dubai have been illuminated by neon lights and distinctive figures. The Dubai Lights campaign has returned for a third year in a row and offers some incredible new installations, running throughout Gold Souq, Hatta, West Beach, Dubai Design District, and Al Seef Street.

Abras: Visitors can witness, and experience 40 light festooned Abras travel the length and breadth of the Dubai Creek. Bright pink and blue lights adorn the boats, and many of them have funny drawings and slogans referring to Dubai on them, transforming the area into a scenic beauty.  

Anooki: French designers Moetu Batlle and David Passegand's Anooki characters, which are making their debut in Dubai, are promoting environmental awareness. Travelling around the world, the Anooki have become the best of friends. They go across expansive, colourful areas, running, laughing, swimming, gliding, skating, fighting etc captivating audience. Thus, they become beautifully rendered animation, smooth and elastic, which is hilarious, startling, and enchanting all at once.

Lights at Dubai Al Seef: Neon lights and signs have been added to Al Seef's cobblestone streets to capture the essence of Dubai Lights. Colourful neon signs can be seen bursting with motivational quotes and phrases.

DSF: Dubai Lights, part of the Dubai Shopping Festival, will be continuing until January 14, 2024, offering International designers and artists to showcase their light displays across the city.

Gold Souq: Across the creek, Dubai Lights has also lit up the historic Gold Souq. The popular tourist destination now has even more glitz and colour with the new neon signs and displays.

Street performances: Al Seef is also the venue for a number of exciting live acts and street performances that happen throughout the area. A lot is awaiting at the seaside setting, including drummers and acrobats.
