Free car inspection service; car owners can benefit from this by visiting AutoPro centres

The intense summertime temperature rise in the United Arab Emirates puts drivers at risk for accidents. Fatalities can also result from other situations, such as fire accidents, even though tyre rupture are a prominent cause of accidents around this time. Regular auto maintenance is essential for drivers. Up until the end of August, Dubai Police is providing free auto inspections to drivers. This service is available to all private vehicle owners in the UAE by visiting one of the AutoPro locations.

Ten car health checks that are available at AutoPro locations are as follows:

- Lights

- Wiper blades condition

- Windshied washer fluid

- Radiator hoses condition

- AC and air filter

- Seat belts condition

- Battery health

- Engine oil and coolant level

- Fluids level

- Tyres pressure condition

As part of the 'Summer Without Accidents' campaign, Dubai Police and the General Department of Traffic have announced increased summertime traffic awareness initiatives. Drivers have been receiving instruction from a field team from the Traffic Education Department on how to verify the efficiency and validity of tyres. In order to keep drivers safe and prevent accidents, Dubai Police has also released safety guidelines. These are the following: 

- Drivers need to make sure their tyres are in good condition and are vibration-free. 

- Drivers need to periodically examine their tyres for bulges and cracks. 

- The engine oil should be changed by drivers regularly. 

- Drivers need to always be on the lookout for fluid leaks. 

- Maintaining your car regularly is essential to preventing accidents on the road.
