Etihad Airways will recruit up to 2,000 pilots, cabin crew, and mechanics as it prepares for expansion in 2025

Up to 2,000 pilots, cabin crew members, and mechanics will be hired by the Abudhabi-based, Etihad Airways this year as it gets ready to grow, adding 15 more aircraft to its fleet in 2025.

Etihad plans to increase flight numbers, frequencies, and destinations in an effort to leverage the favourable trend in passenger traffic observed in the previous year. The passenger load factor of the airline increased from 82% in 2022 to 86% in 2023.

Etihad released its 2023 financial results on Wednesday. The airline reported Dh20.3 billion in total revenue, Dh525 million in net profit, and Dh1.4 billion in operational profit. The airline attributed its success to a Dh4 billion increase in passenger revenue year over year.
