Dubai wins 175 bids in the first six months of 2024 to host business events through 2024 and beyond

In the first half of 2024, Dubai received 175 proposals to organise events through 2024 and beyond, demonstrating the strength of the business events industry in the city and its contribution to the expansion of tourism. It is anticipated that over 92,000 delegates would attend, a 24 percent increase over the same period last year, strengthening the pipeline of guests for upcoming corporate events.

Due to these winning bids, Dubai will be in a position to host major international congresses, conferences, and incentive meetings through 2028. To double Dubai's economy by 2033 and solidify its place as one of the top three cities in the world to visit, live in, and work, this accomplishment highlights the significance of business events to the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

In order to secure major corporate events, Dubai Business Events (DBE), a division of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and the official convention bureau of the city, worked with relevant parties and industry professionals, such as Al Safeer Congress Ambassadors. The city's standing as a premier centre for corporate events has gained more international recognition. Dubai was named the number one meeting destination in the Middle East and Africa by Cvent and the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) for association events held in 2023.

As seen by the number of significant international conferences that Dubai was able to acquire in the first half of 2024, multinational associations, firms, and organisations are beginning to recognise the value of holding their events in the city. A robust program of events is scheduled for the future, which will bring together visionaries, industry leaders, and delegates from across the globe to drive collective progress and feed the knowledge economy. Dubai is excited to welcome them.

Dubai's appeal as a location for incentive and corporate events keeps expanding because of its excellent accessibility, a large range of international hotels, first-rate infrastructure, and a comprehensive range of options that suit any budget.

The Modicare Advisors Incentive 2024, Vkusno i Tochka Convention 2024, World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit 2024, and OPPO Guangdong Mobile Communication Incentive 2025 are among the events that have been secured for the first half of the year.
