Dubai's authority levies a heavy penalty against individuals using confidential government information for illicit purposes

NewsThe Public Prosecution states that anyone who use private government data or information for illicit purposes face severe penalties from Dubai's authorities. For violators of the cybercrime and rumours laws, the administration set a stiff punishment of at least Dh500,000 and a minimum of 7 years in prison.
Anyone who acquires, disobeys, discloses, destroys, modifies, exposes, or deletes any confidential government data or information without authorization may be severely punished under this.
