NewsThe Government of Dubai has released a new worldwide prayer times app that covers over 50,000 locations in 190 countries. Dulook DXB's release precedes Ramadan, which is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, March 12 at the latest.
The precise timings of the five prayers, which millions of Muslims worldwide do throughout the day, are determined by the path of the sun. Every adult Muslim who is both physically and intellectually capable of performing it is required to perform the ritual known as salah. At dawn before sunrise comes Fajir, when the sun is at its highest point it’s the Dhur, Asr is late in the afternoon, Maghr falls just after sunset and Isha is between sunset and midnight.
Dulook DXB bases its timings on astronomical standards that comply with Sharia law and accounts for altitude in its computations. Supervised by the International Astronomical Centre, the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai released the app on Friday, February 23.
When the Sharia signs disappear, this software is the only one of its types that lets users figure out other prayer timings.
Dulook DXB is compatible with official prayer timings in many countries and is user-friendly for people of determination. It is available in both Arabic and English. It features no obtrusive advertisements and is available for free on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
