NewsDubai Airports stated on Wednesday that "recovery will take some time" following record-breaking rainfall in the UAE on Tuesday, which caused flooding at Dubai International Airport (DXB)'s runway.
To get the most recent information regarding their flights, travelers are advised to check directly with their airlines at the busiest airport in the world.
Due to the unusually warm weather in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai International Airport (DXB) is severely disrupted. Due to the severe floods and road closures, it is difficult for outgoing guests to get to the airport and for arriving guests to exit the terminals, leaving little options for transportation, Dubai Airports said in a statement on Wednesday.
Tuesday saw 110mm of rain in the UAE, the highest in 75 years. Flights on Tuesday and Wednesday had to be canceled and rescheduled by numerous airlines.
It highly advised visitors to arrive at the airport well in advance of their scheduled departure and to check directly with their airline for the most recent status of their trip.
