Dubai Airports extended the temporary limiting of inbound flights to Dubai International airport

Due to operational difficulties following this week's deluge of rain, Dubai Airports decided to prolong the temporary restriction of incoming aircraft to Dubai International (DXB) airport on Friday.

FlyDubai also canceled some flights in order to reschedule, while Emirates suspended check-in for travelers arriving from Dubai.

As per Air India, flights to and from Dubai have also been canceled.

Etihad Airways also declared that regular operations would resume following the recent difficult weather in the nation.

Departures from the Dubai Airports will nevertheless go forward as planned.

After the heavy rains, some 1,244 flights were canceled in the first two days. Numerous flights arriving have also been canceled.

In order to assist with operations recovery from the recent harsh weather at its Dubai hub, Emirates announced that it will be halting check-in for all customers in its network who are traveling with onward connections through Dubai until 2359hrs [GMT] on April 19.

It stated that travelers who are currently in Dubai and in transit will continue to be handled for their flights.

Flydubai reported that following significant floods at Dubai International (DXB) airport last Tuesday, it had to modify its schedule for Friday and that more flight cancellations were necessary due to operational issues.

Travelers were asked to check the status of their flight, before heading to the airport.

Resuming regular operations, Etihad Airways stated that some flights were delayed on April 16–17 because of the rainy weather in Abu Dhabi, according to WAM.

Travelers are encouraged to visit the airline's website to view their travel schedules.

Due to ongoing operational issues at Dubai Airport, Air India announced the cancelation of its flights to and from Dubai.

IndiGo, India's low-cost airline, has also experienced disruptions in its services.

In an earlier statement, the Indian Embassy asked Indian travelers heading to Dubai to postpone non-essential travel.
