Driving licence applicants in Dubai can book and reschedule driving test appointments via WhatsApp

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) declared on Friday that anyone requesting a driving licence in Dubai may now use WhatsApp to arrange and reschedule driving test dates. They can use the service by calling 0588009090 to reach RTA's Mahboub Chatbot.

Mira Ahmed Al Sheikh, Director of the Smart Services Department at RTA's Corporate Technical Support Services Sector, stated that there is no need to utilise the official application or visit the RTA website because the user's phone numbers, and registration information are pre-authenticated. The service is interactive and accessible in Arabic and English. Through the pre-authenticated system, users may book their driving test appointments and pay the service costs, she added.

As far as digital improvements are concerned, Al Sheikh promised that continuous efforts are being made to improve the generative artificial intelligence techniques 'Mahboub' uses to understand natural human languages better and generate accurate responses like humans while ensuring data privacy protection. As per her, Mahboub is able to respond to inquiries from clients on the policies, practices, and interactive services offered by RTA. It can learn from past discussions thanks to a feature that allows for continual learning.
