DP World inaugurated the latest in a string of more than 100 freight forwarding offices across the world

DP World has opened the most recent of its more than 100 freight forwarding offices worldwide. This is aimed to further assist clients in managing the challenges of international trade. As the effects of climate change, geopolitical, and financial difficulties on global commerce worsen, DP World has launched a daring plan to strengthen its commitment to its clients.

The offices now employ 1,000 people, bringing DP World's total workforce to 108,000. Over the next 12 months, this number is likely to expand dramatically, contributing to the movement of more than 10% of world commerce annually. The global logistics and supply chain sector is at a turning point, and DP World's development coincides with businesses looking for more control over their supply networks. DP World will use its "toolbox" of services and capabilities—which includes ports, terminals, warehouses, trucks, rail, and shipping services—to increase control and resilience by growing its freight forwarding offering, with an emphasis on air and ocean freight. This will be bolstered by proprietary digital technology. Additionally, DP World will collaborate with complementary partners throughout the supply chain to increase efficiency.

As DP World expands its end-to-end network of high-value port assets and specialised knowledge across ports, trucking, air and ocean freight, customs, and warehousing services that cover over 430 business units in 86 countries, Miami is the most recent office to establish.

Order and origin management, port handling, air and ocean freight management, and at-destination services including customs, drayage, logistics, last-mile delivery, deconsolidation, and bonded warehousing are all included in this expanding service. A wide range of value-added services are also provided by DP World, including sophisticated hubs, vehicles in containers, transload, embedded trade financing, and commodity-specific services.

All of this is accessible through a single digital window supported by an integrated Global Services Centre, which employs more than 500 IT professionals and centralises back-end operations. Thanks to the sophisticated digital system, customers may easily control their freight voyage and trace their items in real time. With its most recent growth, DP World now employs over 45,000 individuals worldwide in its global logistics division, adding to its overall workforce of over 108,100 workers worldwide. These workers are dispersed throughout a variety of logistical service providers, including ports & terminals, maritime services, and logistics.
