Crown Prince of Dubai was appointed Minister of Defence on Sunday

The Crown Prince of Dubai was appointed Minister of Defense on Sunday, bringing him into the federal government of the United Arab Emirates. In addition, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum will hold the position of UAE Deputy Prime Minister.

This occurred as the Vice-President, Prime Minister, and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced significant reforms to the federal government. Following discussions with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, these modifications and new appointments were made in an effort to "boost operational efficiency across various sectors."

Sheikh Hamdan via twitter pledged to assist in creating a "better future for our country and our people" while thanking the UAE authorities for their trust.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who continues to serve as Minister of Foreign Affairs, has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister.

The Ministry of Community Development has been added to the Education and Human Resources Council. The council, which is led by Sheikh Abdullah and has Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as vice-chair, is now in charge of the areas of community development, education, universities, human resources, and emiratization.

The Ministry of Education will also include the Federal Authority for Early Childhood Education and the school system.
