BAPS Hindu Mandir inaugation in Abu Dhabi; management of the Gurdwara will serve 5,000 meals

The Guru Nanak Durbar Gurdwara in Dubai will exhibit impressive interfaith unity on the opening day of the renowned BAPS Hindu Mandir (temple) in Abu Dhabi. In a community service project called "langar," the Gurdwara's administration will feed 5,000 people free of charge, regardless of their ethnicity or religion.

The BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha's spiritual leader, His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present at the lunch service. On Wednesday, February 14, the Prime Minister will be inaugurating the first traditional Hindu stone temple in the Middle East.

Serving langar is a custom at every gurudwara, according to Surender Singh Kandhari, head of the committee.
