News EventThe Arab Health 2024 which commenced on January 29 and will be continuing till February 1, 2024, is centred on examining the state of healthcare in the future and the revolutionary effects of new technology on the medical sector as a whole. The largest healthcare convention in the Middle East will feature a simulated labour and delivery room for the first time, highlighting the integration of various technologies during the childbirth process.
The Smart Hospital and Interoperability Zone, created in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, is a brand-new addition to the 2024 edition. It will offer guests an immersive experience featuring real-time demonstrations of how various technologies smoothly interact with cutting-edge medical equipment to enhance the patient experience as a whole.
Located in the Healthcare Transformation sector, the Zone has four demonstration rooms—one for labour and delivery and another for neonatal care—that will provide visitors with a comprehensive rundown of the newest birthing technologies, such as ultrasound, blood pressure monitoring, electronic foetal monitoring, and maternal/fetal pulse oximetry.
A unique platform will be provided for equipment makers, e-health solution providers, cybersecurity experts, AI specialists, and digital health disruptors to demonstrate their goods and services. Additionally, an operating room, critical care unit, and emergency room is on display.
Technologies from internationally recognised businesses are featured in each room, including GE Healthcare, a household name, Baxter International, a market leader in the production of medical equipment, Nihon Kohden, Japan's top producer, developer, and distributor of medical electronic equipment, and Nasco Healthcare, a provider of healthcare solutions training.
Exhibitors will be able to present a variety of scientific and instructional sessions as well as in-depth analyses of biomedical engineering, patient care, cyber security, and robotic surgery on a dedicated content theatre.
A variety of product showcases, the Transformation Zone—which will feature expert talks on subjects like nanomedicine, artificial intelligence, and robotics—and the well-known Innov8 competition—which will see 24 health tech startups from around the globe pitch ground-breaking concepts and creative ideas in an attempt to win on day three—are among the other attractions at Arab Health 2024.
The first Cre8 competition, which aims to develop the next generation of healthcare professionals, is a fresh addition to the show. The one-day event puts students in the UAE to the test by asking them to think outside the box and come up with a real healthcare problem within the constraints of an AED 100,000 ($27,227.1) hypothetical budget. Encouraging entrepreneurship, stimulating innovation, and addressing pressing healthcare issues are the goals of this competition, which is open to all UAE colleges and schools.
A dedicated space in the Start-Up Zone will allow SMEs to showcase their most recent advancements in healthcare. With enterprises from the UAE, Kuwait, India, Hong Kong, Germany, Netherlands, and Norway participating, this year's theme will be worldwide in scope.
With more than 3,450 exhibitors and more than 110,000 healthcare professionals visiting from 180 countries, Arab Health 2024 is anticipated to draw a worldwide audience. The Dubai World Trade Centre will host the event across a larger space, greatly increasing the number of exhibitors.
Attending Arab Health 2024 will provide medical professionals with access to ten CME conferences covering the following topics: diabetes, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics, public health, infection control, total radiology, surgery, emergency medicine and critical care, and Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD). Many government agencies, including the Department of Health, the Dubai Healthcare City Authority, the Government of Dubai, the Dubai Health Authority, and the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, will assist Arab Health 2024.
