Starting on Monday, February 19, applicants may electronically upload information on their health insurance when applying for or renewing a UAE resident visa, doing away with the need for them to manually submit the paperwork. 

The single platform will be used to electronically transfer health insurance policies provided by approved health insurance firms, according to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP).

The ICP director general, Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, gave his assurance that a secure link will be used for the procedure. He also mentioned how the digital method will expedite the application and renewal processes for visas.
