Air India Express announced Xpress Lite fares for passengers travelling without check-in baggage

NewsPassengers travelling between the United Arab Emirates and India may now take advantage of even cheaper flights as Air India Express's Xpress Lite tickets, were announced on Tuesday which are intended for those who don’t have to check in luggage.
The airline, which is a division of Air India and a member of the Tata group, said that Xpress Check-In allows passengers to bypass lines at baggage belts and counters and offers a free +3 kg cabin baggage allowance in addition to deeply discounted pre-booked rates for +15 kg and +20 kg check-in baggage allowances. For visitors using Xpress Lite tickets, this guarantees the greatest amount of freedom and convenience.
This new package is also valid on flights from India to the UAE. It links 31 local and 14 foreign airports with around 340 daily flights.
Each week, the low-cost airline offers 195 flights from India to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including 80 flights to Dubai, 77 to Sharjah, 31 to Abu Dhabi, 5 to Ras Al Khaimah, and 2 to Al Ain. It offers 308 weekly flights around the Gulf area.
Air India Express claimed that travellers on Xpress Lite prices may pre-book an extra 3kg of cabin luggage for free at the time of booking or later in the 'Manage' or 'Check-in' areas of the airline website or mobile app. This is in addition to the usual cabin baggage limit of 7kg.
