Adnoc employees can travel between Abu Dhabi and Al Dhannah on a train in the future

NewsThe inaugural train ride between Abu Dhabi City and the Al Dhannah district provided a preview of the UAE's much-awaited passenger trains. The executive leadership team of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) and Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, were present for the first passenger rail trip.
The establishment of train services between Abu Dhabi City and Al Dhannah in Al Dhafra was agreed upon by Etihad Train and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) in November of last year.Future rail travel between the Capital city and Al Dhannah will be possible for Adnoc personnel thanks to this most recent cooperation. The train service, which is still "under development," has no scheduled debut date.
From Al Sila to Fujairah, 11 cities will be connected by rail passenger services. Trains may go up to 200 km/h between stops. As compared to other forms of transportation, they will cut the commuting time by thirty to forty percent. Though a start date has not yet been disclosed, it is anticipated that by 2030, there will be over 36.5 million passengers yearly.
