Abu Dhabis DMT has unveiled Abu Dhabi Canvas designed to transform the cityscape with vibrant murals

An intriguing new project called Abu Dhabi Canvas, launched by the Department of Municipalities and Transport – Abu Dhabi (DMT), aims to change the landscape via colourful murals created by local and Emirati visual artists.

The paintings will be raised near bus shelters in several locations, including Al Nahyan, Al Bateen, Al Manhal, Al Mushrif, Al Danah, and Al Muntazah. Given that local artists spent over 800 hours creating the murals, Abu Dhabi Canvas also seeks to support emerging talent.

The murals in Abu Dhabi Canvas are meant to evoke strong feelings and represent the city's variety of viewpoints, and they are intended to draw in both locals and tourists.
