Abu Dhabi Police urges residents to use the Saaed Smart application for reporting minor accidents, from August 1

NewsWhen reporting minor incidents in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi Police is advising citizens not to call 999. Alternatively, drivers can utilize the Saaed Smart app, as stated by the Abu Dhabi Police General Command. The authority said on Friday that the application will be available starting on Thursday, August 1.
In order to avoid obstructing traffic, the authorities emphasized how crucial it is to remove any implicated vehicles from the road and relocate them to a safe location. The police further stated that stopping in the middle of the road without a valid reason is against the law and is punishable by a Dh1,000 fine in addition to six black points.
Drivers can use the app in the event of a small collision, to request an accident report straight from the scene by following a few easy steps to fill out the information. They can use an interactive map to locate the spot, and in a matter of minutes, they can upload information on the accident and the damages that resulted from it. Through smart notifications, they will thereafter be informed that their request has been received and the accident report has been issued.
Procedure:
- Open the app
- Select the service for reporting accidents.
- Enter the phone number to allow the system to locate the accident automatically.
- Pick the options, which include selecting the accident type.
- Upload a picture showing ownership of the car.
- Upload your driver's license photo.
- Upload a picture of the damaged car along with the damage.
- Upload a picture of the damaged and other car.
- Check all the details regarding the individuals who caused and were impacted by the collision, and include all the vehicles involved in the collision.
- Choose 'OK' to effectively finish the request procedure.
- A request number will be provided to the driver.
