People in UAE may soon could bypass traffic and travel across the Emirates, saving 40 percent of their time with UAE's Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) initiatives and anticipated certification developments next year. By the first quarter of 2026, the nation is expected to see the introduction of all-electric air taxis in the United Arab Emirates.

Explaining the benefits of introducing electric aircraft to the UAE, Eng. Ruba Abdelal, Chief Specialist, Innovative Mobility Expert, UAE Government, stated that it will facilitate the removal of traffic jams while producing no emissions.

The UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority's Omran Hassan Malek, Senior Specialist in Policy and Regulation and Project Manager for Advanced Air Mobility, stated that the nation should anticipate the introduction of the air mobility of the future by the first quarter of 2026.

In order to support the launch of Archer's electric air taxi service across the United Arab Emirates, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) and Archer, together with a number of prominent figures in the region's aviation sector, including Falcon Aviation and GAL-AMMROC, collaborated in a signing ceremony earlier. With a start date of 2026, Abu Dhabi has committed to be the first partner.

The introduction of air taxis is also anticipated to create thousands of employments in the area and draw millions in foreign direct investments over the next 10 years.
