New employment regulations issued in Abu Dhabi enable companies to hire remote workers

NewsCompanies can now hire remote workers and offer more flexible working arrangements according to new employment legislation in Abu Dhabi. The new regulations, which "provide greater clarity to employers and employees" regarding their rights and obligations, were released by the Registration Authority (RA) of the international financial center of Abu Dhabi, or ADGM.
Changing the definition of "employee" to permit remote and part-time labor is one of the main adjustments. Companies subject to ADGM regulation are subject to the new regulations.
"Granting employers sufficient time to align their internal policies, employment contracts, and other employment-related matters with the requirements" is how the regulations will be implemented when they go into effect on April 1.
