Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Keeta Drones partners for drone operation zones and safety

Drone deliveries may be implemented throughout the emirate as a result of an agreement Dubai inked with a knowledgeable Chinese company. A Memorandum of Understanding was reached between Keeta Drones and the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, with the two parties concentrating on certifying drone operation zones and ensuring safety in the city's sky.

The UAE removed its prohibition on personal drone use earlier in January, but it kept limitations in place in Dubai. The goal of the two parties' cooperation is to increase the safety of Dubai's airspace.

The DCAA will assist the Chinese company in creating new drone flight routes within the emirate and encourage the expansion of Dubai's "low-altitude aviation economy."

Food, medication, and packages will be swiftly delivered around the emirate by drones that can carry up to 2.3 kg.

Although it was first introduced at Dubai Silicon Oasis, according to city officials, by 2030, an on-demand drone delivery service will be available across 33% of Dubai.

The well-known Chinese delivery business Keeta Drone has enabled the new service. This drone delivery platform is operating outside of Greater China for the first time. Over 400,000 deliveries have been made by Keeta Drone in China across 53 routes in key cities like Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.

Modern flight control algorithms and multi-sensor fusion positioning technology enable the drone to function in a variety of urban environments. It has a flight control system, a parachute, and low-noise propellers.

According to Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, executive chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, the organization intends to collaborate with the public and private sectors to provide intelligent services to the emirate's citizens.
