With visa-free travel and visa-on-arrival to 185 countries, the UAE passport is in the top 10 strongest in the world for 2025, up one spot from the previous year, according to the most recent ranking published by Henley & Partners.
From 15th in 2022 and 2023 to 11th in 2024 and 10th in 2025, the UAE has been moving up the rankings.
Based on information provided by the International Air Transport Authority (Iata), the Henley & Partners index and its contents include 199 different passports and 227 different travel destinations. Of the other Gulf nations, Qatar came in at number 47, Kuwait at number 50, Bahrain at number 58, and Saudi Arabia at number 59.
