UAE banks and shops offer long lists of items that customers can pay for in installments at zero percent interest

Easy payment plans are no longer limited to large purchases like vehicles and real estate, as many UAE banks and retailers provide a lengthy selection of goods that may be paid for in three, six, or twelve months—and occasionally even as long as twenty-four—at no interest.

Utility bills:

Customers of Emirates NBD, Mashreq Bank, Emirates Islamic, and Dubai Islamic Bank credit cards are eligible for the zero-percent payment programme offered by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa).

Residents of Abu Dhabi also have the choice to pay their electricity bills over time. Nevertheless, only specific banks are eligible.

Traffic fines:

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai permits citizens to pay penalties using their credit cards over a 12-month period at no interest. It's best to check with your provider as not all banks will cover this. Moreover, the Dubai Police provide various payment plans that allow the public to make payments in 3, 6, or 12 months, based on their bank. Several banks and the Abu Dhabi Police have teamed to allow drivers in the emirate to pay off fines within a year.

Car Insurance:

Car insurance premiums that exceed Dh4,000 annually may also be paid for in installments. On the other hand, there might not be as many companies offering interest-free plans. RSA Insurance is one of the companies that has three- to six-month policies in partnership with four banks. Some have partnered with other payment gateways, like Tabby, so that customers may make payments over a period of four months.

Fight Tickets:

Major airlines in the UAE have teamed up with banks to allow patrons to make reservations now and pay "down the queue". Customers of at least ten banks may split the cost of their Emirates travel tickets into three interest-free monthly installments. Furthermore, Flydubai has teamed up with a few banks to provide three- to six-month payments. Similar programmes are permitted by national carrier Etihad Airways for Visa and Mastercard holders; however, bank approval is still required.

Some passengers may be able to extend their payment period for Air Arabia to two years.

These choices are available via a number of travel agents, allowing you to plan your whole vacation, including flights, lodging, and tours.

School fees:

Going the credit-card way is frequently more convenient for parents since schools sometimes give discounts for paying in full. They may take advantage of the bank's interest-free monthly payment plan and the school's discount by swiping their cards to pay for their tuition. The card reward points that come with making large purchases are an additional benefit. But not every bank offers coverage for every school. Terms and conditions will also be relevant. It's advisable to inquire with both the educational institution you're enrolling in and your bank.
