Private schools in Dubai will start online classes on Tuesday a little later, and only a small number of them would allow students to take extra breaks after every class.
The reason for granting this flexibility, according to headteachers, is that students might want some time to log in to their online lessons.
This comes after bad weather forecasts forced educational institutions to transition to remote learning on April 16. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) tweeted that, in response to the Crown Prince of Dubai's announcement, all of the private schools, daycare centers, and universities in the emirate will provide distance learning on Tuesday.
All public schools in the UAE, however, will be required to offer remote learning on Tuesday, April 16, and Wednesday, April 17.
