MoHRE has called on private sector companies across the UAE to apply flexible working patterns

In the event of erratic weather, private sector businesses in the United Arab Emirates are urged to implement flexible work schedules by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE). The Ministry released a statement saying, "Companies must take the necessary steps to ensure that outdoor work, if necessary to resume, complies with the occupational health and safety requirements."

The Ministry said, "Companies also need to ensure the health and safety of workers commuting to and from outdoor work locations." The decison was made in response to the persistently severe weather forecast and the heavy rains. In addition, the Emirates Schools Establishment declared that owing to the weather, remote learning will continue in UAE schools.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) stated that further rain, of a lesser intensity, is anticipated in certain locations today after severe rains, hail, thunder, and lightning struck much of the UAE on Monday.
