In the most recent auction held by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) increased the number of taxis in its fleet by acquiring 94 additional number plates. This will bring the total number of vehicles added to the company's service in 2024 to 445. 

It is anticipated that this strategic addition would increase the company's market share to 46% and solidify its position as the top transport provider in Dubai. The company's strong financial standing and potential for future development and acquisitions are highlighted by the expansion.

The CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, Mansoor Rahma Al Falasi, stated that the company's sustained expansion in both its operational and investment domains will be further enhanced with the addition of 94 additional cabs to its fleet. As a result of the taxi fleet growing from 5,216 in 2023 to 5,660 at the start of 2024, the company's overall income for the year will increase. DTC's dominant financial position in the Dubai Financial Market is further strengthened by this expansion, which also increases shareholder value and provides investors with appealing returns.

This action complies with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, which aims to provide everyone in the emirate with flexible and sustainable travel options.
