NewsThe "Travel Behaviour Survey," conducted by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has begun its second phase. 21,000 individuals from various backgrounds will provide data for the survey. The second phase, which will include workplace surveys to gather data on labourers, tourists and visitors, and non-resident workers, will run until February 2024. This action is a component of the RTA's continuous endeavours to enhance the public transportation and road networks, as well as to update its transportation and road strategic plans. Ensuring a secure and enjoyable transportation experience while adhering to the Dubai Urban Plan 2040 is the aim.
The authority had carried out the first part of its extensive survey from January to June of 2023. The second survey phase was initiated to cover extensive samples of targeted people and families. The purpose of the survey is to gather data on behaviour and patterns of movement. The RTA is extending its survey outreach tactics, including in-person, online, and mobile app interviews with households, to guarantee widespread participation.
Data from the findings' collection and analysis will be used to support the authority's strategic planning efforts for roads and public transportation networks, including the metro, tram, public buses, and marine transportation services.
