This Monday, the Royal Oman Police issued a statement announcing the suspension of all visitor and tourist visas for all nations being converted to work visas. The announcement of the revised visa framework, was made on Twitter (known as X)

According to the statement, "The Royal Oman Police announces the suspension of the conversion of all types of tourist and visit visas to work visas for all nationalities coming to the Sultanate of Oman, as well as the issuance of all types of new visas for Bangladeshi citizens effective Tuesday, 31/10/2023 until further notice," as part of its review of the procedures for obtaining certain types of visas.
