The Indian embassies intend to open a single service center with branches in 14 locations by the second quarter of this year, which means that all passport and attestation centers for Indian expats in the UAE would undergo changes.
A call for bids from service providers to operate the Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC), which will combine all consular services under one roof, has been renewed by the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
In order to assist the more than four million Indians who reside in the United Arab Emirates as well as foreigners who are looking for Indian visa services through the Indian missions here, the Embassy has suggested opening 14 ICAC branches.
The missions currently use outsourced services from two separate service providers. While IVS Global manages document attestation services, BLS International conducts passport and visa applications. Certain services are also handled at the Indian Consulate and Embassy in Dubai.
With stringent standards to streamline services, cut down on wait times, and guarantee improved efficiency and accessibility, the new unified facility is intended to provide comprehensive, prompt, and transparent services in key locations.
Applications for all consular services are anticipated to be processed by the new SP at the following locations.
Al Majaz in Sharjah, Al Jurf in Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, Corniche/Subara in Khor Fakkan, Kalba, and Nakheel/Khujan/Mareed in Ras Al Khaimah; Al Khalidiya, Al Reem, and Musaffah in Abu Dhabi; Al Ain, Ghayathi, Bur Dubai, and JLT/ Marina in Dubai; and Al Majaz in Sharjah.
