A significant extension of Dh5 billion is being planned by Mall of the Emirates, which would include 100 new retailers, a new theater, a new indoor and outdoor dining area, more entertainment areas, and wellness facilities. The extension is a part of the 2030 ambition to build a "Mall of New Possibilities" and coincides with the mall's twentieth anniversary.
A new indoor-outdoor precinct will bring a dynamic blend of interactive entertainment and fast-casual food as part of the redevelopment. With its opening in early 2027, the mall's first-ever outdoor F&B courtyard will be at its center. When it gets cooler, this versatile area will become a verdant haven.
Midway through 2025, the New Covent Garden theater is scheduled to soft-launch, with a formal opening later that year. By 2026, the entertainment and lifestyle areas of the multi-offering precinct will be completed. It will include 600 seats as well as rehearsal areas.
By late 2026, four new entertainment options will be available, and VOX Cinemas will host the world's most cutting-edge IMAX experience.
