New master plan approved for Expo City Dubai with residential and business facilities for around 75,000 people

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, approved a new master plan for Expo City Dubai on Thursday. The proposal includes residential and business facilities for around 75,000 people. The plan intends to convert the city, which hosted 'Expo 2020 Dubai' and the UN Climate Change Conference (COP28), into a significant engine of future growth for Dubai.

Expo City Dubai, which will cover 3.5 square kilometres over five districts, can accommodate approximately 35,000 people and 40,000 professionals. One of the UAE's premier institutions, DP World, is building a new worldwide headquarters, and a Dh10 billion international exposition facility is also part of the master plan.

Sheikh Mohammed described it as a new chapter in the emirate's long-term strategy, saying: "Today, we approved the new plan for Expo City Dubai, a city with the goal of 'creating the future.'" Expo City Dubai is positioned in the new master plan as a centre for trailblazers, business owners, and financiers, as well as a draw for creative thinkers, instructors, and students, and as a thriving, caring neighbourhood for locals and guests.

The Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, were present as the revised plan was approved.

The Dubai South area will expand as a result of Expo City Dubai's expansion plans. Investors can profit from the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 because to its close vicinity to Al Maktoum Airport, Jebel Ali Port, and the Dubai Exhibition Centre.

Expo City Dubai is one of the five major urban centres included in the 2040 Dubai Urban Master Plan, and it is expected to be essential in accomplishing the plan's objectives.
