The "Orange Route" is a new city bus route that the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) has introduced as part of the city's Transport Master Plan 2030 and in keeping with initiatives to increase connectivity throughout the emirate.
Through a number of important locations in the center of the city, the most recent route connects the Al Nakheel neighborhood to the Main Bus Station in South Al Dhait. The Orange Route, which is more than 13 kilometers long, extends the Ras Al Khaimah internal public transportation system's overall length to 99 kilometers.
RAKTA hopes to promote more public transit use by launching the Orange Route, which offers convenient, reasonably priced services that serve the entire community. By linking the four primary city roads, the new route facilitates a more smooth and integrated travel experience throughout the emirate. For both locals and tourists, it is intended to improve coverage, reduce travel times, and provide more flexible commuting options.
Buses stop at eight key locations: Al Nakheel, Julphar Towers, Al Sadaf Roundabout, Driving School, Post Office, Clock Roundabout, Flamingo Beach, and the Main Bus Station in Al Dhait South. A one-way trip should take passengers 25 to 30 minutes. Twenty journeys will be made each day by the service, which will operate from 6:30 am to 8:30 pm. It costs Dh8 every journey.
