Highest train bridge in Fujairah - Al Bithnah rail bridge significant in improving market connections, global supply chain efficiency, and goods flow

The stunning image of the highest structure on the network, a train bridge in Fujairah, was released by Etihad Train, the national rail network of the United Arab Emirates. Part of the 900km pan-UAE network that started its freight train earlier this year is the 40-meter-tall Al Bithnah rail bridge, which spans more than 600 metres. The bridge was referred to as "unlike any seen before" in a video posted on their social media network.

The bridge forms a magnificent figure in the environment of Fujairah, winding beside verdant fields, mountains, residences, and the highway. The network stated that a crew of about 250 people worked for 19 months to create the bridge, which was supported by 14 pillars spaced 40 metres apart.

Etihad Rail claims that it will be essential in enabling trade between Fujairah and the rest of the United Arab Emirates. A video of the behind-the-scenes activity at Etihad Railway Station, where goods trains are loaded at Fujairah Port, was shared by the network last week.

Fujairah Port is the perfect location for Etihad Rail's goods terminal because of its advantageous location close to the Strait of Hormuz, which connects East and West and makes it easier to move goods to the Indian subcontinent and East Africa. This improves market connections, global supply chain efficiency, and goods flow.
