Ice cream cones are being given out by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of the emirate at two Metro stations today, July 10, and tomorrow, July 11. Based on the teaser video that the authority released on Tuesday, some of the varieties you might be able to obtain include chocolate, cookies and cream, butterscotch, cotton candy, and vanilla.
Commuters can get an ice cream at these locations:
- July 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mashreq and Ibn Battuta Metro Stations
- and at Equiti and Onpassive Metro Stations by 11 am.
With the summer heat peaking today and temperatures setting a new high of 50.8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, free ice cream has become popular throughout the Emirates. Every day, volunteer-operated ice cream vans provide popsicles and refreshing beverages to workers and delivery riders in particular.
