Emirates has started operating again from Dubai to several important cities, including London.
Due to "regional unrest," many flights scheduled to depart from Dubai International Airport (DXB) on Tuesday, October 2, and Wednesday, October 3, by the largest airline in the city, were cancelled.
Before arriving at the airport, travellers should check the status of their flights on the airline's website.
Although it was cancelled last week, the EK31/EK32 Dubai to London Heathrow to Dubai route is now operating normally.
The routes EK837/838 from Dubai to Bahrain, EK855/86 from Dubai to Kuwait, and EK66/867 from Dubai to Muscat were also affected, however they are now all operating normally again.
Up until Tuesday, October 15, Emirates flights between Dubai and Beirut are still cancelled.
Sunday, October 6th, flights to Amman, Jordan, will restart after an operational assessment.
Up until and including Monday, October 7, all flights to and from Iran (Tehran) and Iraq (Basra and Baghdad) will be cancelled.
Travellers using Dubai as a transit hub and intending to end up in Iraq or Iran will not be permitted to leave their original location until Tuesday, October 8.
Until further notice, Emirates clients travelling through Dubai and ending up in Jordan, Iran, or Iraq would not be permitted to return to their original origin.
A travel update has been posted on the airline's website and will be updated once more information becomes available.
Emirates will continue to discontinue its flights to and from Beirut through October 15, 2024.
Until further notice from the airline, passengers travelling through Dubai with Beirut as their final destination will not be permitted to board at their origin.
In order to organise alternate travel alternatives, any Emirates customers affected by the interruption are advised to get in touch with their booking agents or the airline directly.
Emirates has stated that it will keep an eye on the issue on its website.
