'Dubai Sports Retreat in November 2024; aims to chart a strategic vision for the future of sports sector in Dubai

The Dubai Sports Council (DSC) Chairman, H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has announced that the "Dubai Sports Retreat" will take place in November 2024 to develop a strategic vision for the city of Dubai's sports industry. 

At the DSC's second Board of Directors meeting, Sheikh Mansoor made the announcement and stressed the value of community involvement in directing athletic projects.

Anticipatedly, the retreat will be a key venue for the introduction of fresh projects aimed at helping athletes, identifying and nurturing potential, improving community engagement, and encouraging investment in sports. The purpose of the gathering is to collaborate with athletes, specialists, and representatives of regulatory organisations to develop the sector's future goals and plans. 

A survey to get feedback from athletes and the general public on important areas and prospects for future growth is one of the preparations that the DSC intends to carry out. The suggestions and ideas that are discussed at the retreat will be shaped by these comments.

He advocated for working together with regional and international partners to solve the organisational, legal, and technical facets of the sports industry. 

Sheikh Mansoor reiterated the Council's commitment to exhibiting Dubai's organisational skills in sports and community activities as the group examined future sporting events and projects. The Dubai Sports Council wants to strengthen Dubai's position in the world of sports and improve the sports environment by collaborating with the public and commercial sectors.
