Salik has announced that Dubai’s variable road toll pricing will commence on January 31 this year.
During weekdays, the toll charge will be set at Dh6 during peak hours, which are from 6am to 10am in the morning and from 4pm to 8pm in the evening. For off-peak hours, specifically from 10am to 4pm and from 8pm to 1am, the toll will be reduced to Dh4.
On Sundays, apart from public holidays, major events, or special occasions, the toll will remain Dh4 throughout the day, with no charges applicable between 1am and 6am.
During Ramadan, Salik rates will be as follows: Dh6 during weekday peak hours from 9am to 5pm, and Dh4 during weekday off-peak hours from 7am to 9am, and 5pm to 2am the next day.
Toll charges will not apply between 2am and 7am from Monday to Saturday during Ramadan. On Sundays (excluding public holidays and major events), the fee will be Dh4 throughout the day from 7am to 2am, and free from 2am to 7am.
Salik clarified that there is no change to the toll charging method for vehicles passing through Al Safa North and South, as well as Al Mamzar North and South toll gates, if they pass through the same direction within one hour.
Currently, Salik charges a flat fee of Dh4 each time a vehicle passes through any of its 10 toll gates across Dubai.
